Journey towards good heart health

Apollo Hospitals in association with The Times of India are organizing the Billion Hearts Beating campaign to fight the heart diseases in India. I have just started the journey towards good heart health. I took the following pledges yesterday:

  • I took the pledge to get enough sleep.
  • I took the pledge to eat more fruits and vegetables.
  • I took the pledge to give up fried foods.
  • I took the pledge to keep my weight under control.

What does it mean to take the pledge?

Taking the pledge is easy, but practicing what you have pledged requires lots of personal discipline. But, these pledges mean a lot to someone in need. For every pledge taken, one poor person will get a free heart screening. What a great cause and idea. Take the pledge now.

Prevention is not just better than cure. It’s easier, cheaper and smarter. Now stay healthy and let India win!
